A Night in Paris

It took us a very long time to travel from Brussels to Paris, because we hadn't realised that the train line between those two cities required a pre-booking for a seat reservation that was very expensive. So we took the cheap (and very time consuming) option of catching regional trains through various places along the way to get there using just our Eurail pass.

Evening was falling fast, so we set out to see as much as we could.

We reached the Arc de Triumphe, which really turned on the charm for us.

The Champs Elysees looked pretty good too.

Although our feet and tummies were well and truly complaining about spending hours walking across Paris, we just couldn't help but aim for this sight...

Those blue lights were courtesy of a passing police car.

We managed to comfort both our feet and our tummies by finding a little creperie and sitting down to enjoy a bite to eat with that fantastic view.

The Eiffel Tower just can't be beaten.

We eventually stopped gazing up at it in favour of making our way back towards our hotel.

To save our feet from complete destruction, we took the sensible option, and went underground.

Our time in Paris had only just begun, but we were both already totally in love with the city. Lots more to come!
