Breezing Into Bordeaux

After our big day at Le Tour, we headed off to Bordeaux. The scenery's pretty lovely.

We even managed to spot this random tank sitting in a field.

They love their wind energy in Europe!

We arrived in Bordeaux as night was falling (which is pretty darn late), and immediately went in search of food.

I of course admired an extraordinarily large number of doors.

Tom did a bit of back-stretching on a handy park bench...

We found a great little place for dinner, and Tom found a piece of bread shaped like a rabbit. It had obviously been a long day, since we found this pretty amusing.

Chicken gizzard and something-else-that-sounds-equally-disgusting salad for Tom...

More mussels for me...

Salmon for Tom...

And something that was supposed to be duck, but we think it was confused, and was beef instead.

Here's my sexy profiterole face...

And Tom's I-Heart-Passionfruit-Sorbet face.

Once again, dinner was our highlight of the evening. What else do you do after a hard day of watching cycling but eat three-course meals, eh?

On to explore more of Bordeaux tomorrow!
