A Little Loire

Our next move from Mont St Michel was to go to Nantes, in the Loire Valley. We didn't really end up allowing ourselves very much time there, since we stayed at Mont St Michel until the early afternoon, and then had a few hours' drive ahead of us.

When we arrived, I was thrilled with the comparative luxury of our hotel room!

We decided it was high time we caught up on a few administrative details like laundry, so we took advantage of the lovely big bath (which I didn't get a photo of I'm afraid), and enjoyed our surroundings for a little while.

Then, of course, it was time to search for dinner. We drove in to central Nantes. Tom dressed up to look as French as possible for the occasion.

What did we settle on? Italian, of course! What else do you eat in regional France?

After dinner, as we strolled back to Mulder, we got some actual entertainment out of my door obsession. Does anyone else find this a bit strange?

Earlier, while we were lazing around in our hotel room, the boys spotted something very interesting on television (more on that to come very soon), that caused us to change our plans from hanging around seeing the sights in Nantes to moving on immediately. Sounds mysterious, doesn't it?

So, I'm afraid that's it for Nantes' very short guest appearance in our holiday!
