Unfortunately for us, the weather became increasingly more forbidding.
This stretch of coastline to reach Sorrento would be spectacular on a sunny day. We still got to marvel at it, but it would have been lovely to see it in the sunshine.
We eventually reached our hotel, a night at which was included in the cost of our tour. Guess who was there to greet us too?!!! Lots of Louis!
The room (and bathroom) was lovely!
We even had our own tiny little courtyard.
The pool deck impressed us as well.
Such a shame about the weather.
We were also allowed a lovely dinner at the hotel restaurant as part of the deal.
The food was quite impressive too!
This dessert cost us the ability to see Sorrento properly that evening, because we had hoped to catch a shuttle bus back down to the town (our hotel was quite far out). Time got away from us while we worked at consuming all of that food though, and we missed the bus by about three minutes. I’m sure there’s some smart comment someone would like to make here about my sweet tooth causing me trouble!
We did have the pleasure of seeing a concert put on by the hotel though, so we can hardly complain.
The weather was looking much better the next morning.
Not a bad way to start a day visiting the Isle of Capri!
