A Close Call

One of the highlights of this cruise that we’ve been particularly looking forward to is a passage through the Corrinth Canal. Here’s an image thanks to Google Maps that shows the canal running straight through the Greek peninsula.

The weather was a little bit dreary that morning.

Apparently our ship is one of the biggest boats ever to have made it through the canal. We needed a little tug boat to keep us running straight.

There wasn’t much room on either side! A 'close call', you might say!

Not much space for the lifeboats!

Where’s Tom?

Who doesn’t drink tea while standing on the back of a boat going through the Corrinth Canal in the rain?

After making it through the Corrinth, our next stop was to be our last stop in Greece, Preveza, along its Western coast. Onto Albania and then Croatia!
