The Frame

This part of the process happened incredibly quickly - It literally took only a day or two for the ground floor frame to go up, and the same for the upper story. We were practically reeling with the speed, after the agonising wait to get to slab stage when it kept raining (see here).

Here's the plan for the ground floor:

And here is the view of the ground floor frame from the street.

The back of the house (the rumpus room) from the back fence.

Tom standing in our master bedroom. This was as far up the ladder to the second floor that I would go.

Me demonstrating the width of the screen wall in the media room.

And the second storey is up! Pretty sunset.

The maze of timber upstairs once the frame was up.

The view from our front window in the master bedroom.

The windows are in!

And the scaffold is up for the roofers.

And voila! The roof is on!

Tom ran a ridiculous amount of wires through the entire house in order to ensure that we could have speakers in every room if we chose to.

The plumbing is in.

Next step, bricklaying!!!
