The Yellow Strikes Back

When I triumphantly bid farewell to the yellow that covered Every. Single. Wall. In. Our. House, I forgot some. Noooooooooo!

The scene of the crime?

Our newly fibro sheeted, doorway-ed and waterproofed ensuite! In fact the extra observant amongst you would have spotted that shot above from last week's ensuite blog.

When I stood in that room and looked up, this was my view.

Ick!

The yellow had to go.

So we hopped up on a ladder and undercoated that yellow away!

I decided to go with the same paint colour that we'd chosen for the other bathroom ceiling, Taubmans' Grey Fog, since we planned on using the same tiles that we put in the main bathroom, and it matches fairly well with them.

Unfortunately the first coat actually looked patchier than the undercoat.

But the top coat solved that problem, and now the little bits of exposed wall and the ceiling are only definitely NOT yellow, they are painted in a mould-resistant paint that is probably a very good idea in a bathroom!

That shot above even gives you a little sneak peek at what happened once I let the tiler in there! This is where it really gets exciting, and really starts feeling like a proper bathroom!

But right now, let's have a moment to truly rejoice that that darn yellow paint is GONE FOREVER!!!!!!
